The production is pretty good, but there is a lot of shitty sensasionalism and alteration of the real events that occurred at that time, besides it is a chronological mess, if you want to see the real facts and even real characters surrounding Pablo Escobar and the brave Colombian police force see "El Patrón del Mal", that's the real shit, if you don't know Spanish, sorry but you are fucked and will never know the real history behind…

Why did they chose such a thin actor to play Escobar? Escobar was fat.And no, he doesn't look at all like the notorious drug lord.

I love this show. I have to say tho, that even tho they are trying to make the DEA look like heroes, I'm not convinced. It is because the governments that ban drugs and establish agencies like the DEA that there is a drug war. People that want to do drugs will use them anyways, and there will always be criminals bad enough to supply it. If they really cared about people's health so much they would make it legal, make the production and distribution legal and controlled, and spend the money they save fighting criminal organizations to educate and treat the people that misuse drugs. All the violence associated with drugs, as well as the crime that is caused indirectly because of it (robberies to get the money to buy drugs for example) would be almost gone. I say almost because we all know that drugs, like alcohol, do cause people to act retarded and violent sometimes.
Man just finished season 2 last night. What a GOOD DAMN SHOW!!!! I'll admit I'm going to miss Pablo lol But, so excited to learn that season 3 and 4 are in the works. These writers are amazing and the acting is phenomenal. Looking forward to next season.
