Synopsis:
In THE HATEFUL EIGHT, set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. The passengers, bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as “The Hangman,” will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren (Jackson), a black former union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Goggins), a southern renegade who claims to be the town’s new Sheriff. Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. When they arrive at Minnie’s, they are greeted not by the proprietor but by four unfamiliar faces. Bob (Bichir), who’s taking care of Minnie’s while she’s visiting her mother, is holed up with Oswaldo Mobray (Roth), the hangman of Red Rock, cow-puncher Joe Gage (Madsen), and Confederate General Sanford Smithers (Dern). As the storm overtakes the mountainside stopover, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all…

Seeing this in 70mm is one of the greatest things I've experienced
The Hateful Eight is one of my favourite Tarantino films and has to be among the most epic films ever to take place in a single room!
It's almost three hours long, but I enjoyed every single minute of it. Flawless writing, acting, photography, cinematography and music! The usual and always PERFECT Tarantino formula.
P.s: What I particularly loved most was the Warren-Mannix duo ;)

Really didn't like this movie.
I was surprised to find this as a shitty, "wannabe-hip" trailer for a GREAT movie. Usually these days, it's the other way around.

Christoph Waltz would have been way better as "The Little Man" although i absolutely love Tim Roth also!
The hateful eight probably has a double meaning to it since it is the 8th movie of quentin tarantino that he directed (he wrote scripts for other movies but did not direct those movies) and all the controversy going on around the script leaking that some people already hated the 8th film. or maybe i am just seeing things thar are not there…
Always good to see some new actors/actresses that never worked with quentin tarantino before. you have to be carefull not to have the same actors in every movie that you make. I like the idea that he went oldschool with 70mm film. Most older films shot in 70mm format (like 2001 a space odyssey for example) look really great and also when converted to digital blu ray it looks better then most modern movies shot in digital which is really amazing. movies from 1969 actually look better then most modern blu ray movies. it sounds crazy but it is true.
I like quentin tarantino's first few movies better then is later work (that is just my personal opinion) but i hope this movies is going to change that.

How can such a nice trailer be followed by such a boring movie. Letting the characters talk about the background of the other characters? Inefficient storytelling. Flashbacks would have helped. The tempo of the movie is too slow since the characters constantly repeat information the audience already know. This is the first Tarantino movie I have watched and what a disappointment…

I hate when morons say that Tim Roth was imitating Christoph Waltz??!!
Roth, an Englishman, is putting on a fake English accent and sounds like Waltz, a German-Austrian? Ugh, okay.
He's supposed to be hammed up because he's trying to draw away suspicion. Notice he only acts that way when the mascarade is up. When he's with his gang or once the shit hits the fan, he drops it and plays everything straight.
Good= Magnificent 7
Bad= Hateful 8
