One of the heartbreaking movies I have watched. How powerful is love? It's beyond our imagination.
A beautiful, touching, daring biopic of an exquisite woman, Lili Elbe.
The Danish Girl, is perhaps one that sails through heavy emotions and bravery one could possibly own up to. A story of compassion, devotion. A story of finding oneself. A story of being accepted for who you are.

I know it is so easy for people to toss a comment with that freedom of entitlement to judge and say hurtful things without caring and knowing no one will think less of them. That has only become possible for it not were the brave people who stopped hiding and risked the inevitable rejection if only to live authentically. I am proud to support and root on transgender, even though I don't completely understand or feel at ease; because I know those feelings are my problem to overcome. I can also respect those who just can't support, but I will never understand their hate. Too many people forget there were times in our history when other things too were rejected and had to be fought for. To end slavery, to allow women to vote or own property or go to college, to allow bi-racial marriage, to stop segregating the handicapped and denying access to public places, to allow mixed races to get the same education and use the same toilets, to allow Black people to get mortgage loans or credit cards, to allow same sex unions/marriages, to allow Black people to ride in the front of busses, to allow service animals enter public places, to allow gays and lesbians the right to work in the armed forces, and to have the right to die with dignity from cruel disease. There is such a difference between something that is truly wrong like child-sex trafficking, cruel conditions of livestock, elder abuse, and drunk drivers getting multiple chances versus a person who simply wishes to live a full life as the person they believe they are within. I wish people would fight for this right to exist, not because they agree with it, but that it is important to protect each other from being wrongfully segregated by a prejudiced government.
